Cor (Ken) Teeuwen, who came to Australia from the Netherlands where he worked as the Export Manager for KONI, founded Toperformance Products in 1970. The staff doubled in 1976 when Bastian Barendregt joined Ken. Bastian also migrated from the Netherlands and was employed by KONI as Suspension Engineer prior to his migration. The business was sold in 1990 to Bastian Barendregt (ex employee), Barry Brookes (ex customer) and Ian de Graaf (ex employee).
	From it's beginnings, Toperformance has seen as its mandate to provide KONI shock absorbers throughout Australia for cars, four wheel drives, motorsport (open wheelers through rally to Group A), buses and trucks. This is reflected in our Mission Statement: To build a stable and growing network of sales outlets for KONI and other products which provides maximum customer service and satisfaction while sustaining the business in a profitable and rewarding manner. We will maintain a culture of fair trading, good corporate citizenship and acknowledge the value of the personal and business lives of our staff and customers.
